The Footy season is in full swing and we feel honoured to be part of their treating team for injured players. We wish all our sportsmen the very best for the season as they ramp up training and competitions to get to the Finals.
Our urgent care / injury service on Saturday and Sunday afternoons for sports related injuries has been a popular alternative to the local Emergency departments as most other GP clinics are closed. Feedback has been positive about the short waiting times and in depth service we are able to provide. All patients are welcome to attend and you do not have to be a patient of our clinics as we will always work together with your regular GP. Where necessary, our doctors will be able to organise for X-rays to help determine if there is a fracture or dislocation. We also work closely with various orthopaedic surgeons should the need arise.
We are pleased to say that since opening this service in March 2015, the local community has made up the majority of our patients who were not able to see their own GP, which further highlights the need for comprehensive General Practice care on the weekends.
